Brief Description:

As part of a fast paced and rapidly growing Managed Service Provider, the primary role of the 2nd line engineer is to provide high level remote technical support to our client base.

The role will be supporting a wide range of SMEs throughout Yorkshire with a good level of technical ability using a wide range of tools.

Some field engineering works will be required as and when needed so the engineer will need to be confident and comfortable when working onsite.

The role of the Level 4 IT/Network Engineer will be providing IT & network Support alongside the 1st line team.


Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:


Logging and responding to requests via a PSA tool.

Remote Support using RMM Tools.

Proactive Support using RMM/PSA tools to resolve issues before they become issues for our clients.

Supporting the following technologies to a solid level:

Windows 10.

Server 2012/2019 Including AD, DNS, DHCP, RDS, GPO.

Office365, OneDrive, SharePoint & InTune. Admin, Support & Migrations.

Wide range of Security and Backup products. Configuration & Support.

VPN, LAN & WAN technologies.

Routers, Switches and Firewalls.

Wi-Fi technologies, implementation, Support & Upgrades.

Relaxed working environment with a very comfortable and able 5-person team, we are looking for that next team member who can provide support for both the team and clients.



  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Training to be provided:

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Skills Development Coach who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 4 Network Engineer Standard with training in areas such as:

  • Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
  • Network Principles
  • Network Systems and Architecture
  • Network Security
  • CCNA 1 & 2


Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
