Job description:

As a Skills Coach you will be responsible for coaching each learner in your case load to make sure they are ready for their End Point Assessment. You will be the main point of contact and manage the relationship between the Learner and Employer ensuring full compliance with ESFA guidelines. You will need to keep all Learner records and work load up to date and attend meetings with their line manager to report on progress, and support the Learners to meet key milestones. Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills translating into the ability to coach
  • Relevant knowledge of current IT/Infrastructure working practice
  • Ability to learn new technology and tools quickly, experience of Onefile would be advantageous
  • Positive and proactive
  • Good planner and problem solver
  • Able to enthuse and mentor others
  • Able to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriers to progress and achievement
  • Must demand high standards and set the bar through consistent and high quality personal approach
  • Must be able to work at a detailed level
  • Team player
  • Working at all times lawfully and in accordance with our pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements e.g. Data Protection, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety. Working at all times in accordance with procedures, group/company policy and processes
  • You must be willing to travel to clients in order to coach learners
  • Good knowledge of Government funded Apprenticeship programmes
  • Excellent knowledge of ILP and Review processes
  • Knowledge of the Software Apprenticeship frameworks would be ideal
  • Knowledge of the Awarding Organisation requirements would be ideal
  • Good knowledge of the OfSTED Common Inspection Framework
  • Innovative approach to learning and clear grasp of modern training techniques
  • Knowledge of progression routes to both HE and employment
  • Good understanding of equality and diversity issues
