Computer Whizz – Luis Ribeiro set for a successful future with Ancar B

IT Support Apprentice Luis Ribeiro is a Level 4 Apprentice at Ancar B. He successfully progressed from the Level 3 course last year and is now working towards his Level 4 Apprenticeship impressing his colleagues and fellow Apprentices along the way.

From a young age Luis showed a keen interest in IT and all things digital which resulted in him receiving a Windows Millennium PC from his parents one birthday. Luis graduated from Leeds west academy with 6 GCSEs, he then went on to achieve an AS in IT & Business. After deciding A levels weren’t the right pathway to his dream career, Luis got in contact with Estio and was placed on a level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship.

“I love working with hardware, being hands on with PC’s and troubleshooting problems for clients. My ultimate goal is to be in a more senior role, maybe as an IT Engineer. The thing I love most about my IT Apprenticeship is the ability to learn new things and earn money whilst doing it, I definitely wouldn’t have got the same opportunity if I had gone to Uni. I chose an Apprenticeship ultimately because it is a more professional alternative to University, getting rewarded for the work you do in currency falls much better with me.”#

“I highly recommend an IT Apprenticeship to any individual with a keen passion in IT and is wanting to avoid the debt of Uni. Not only will you be earning money, but you’ll be getting valuable experience and training, something employers look for. I feel like I’ve put myself in a good financial position already and I’m only 19. The trainers at Estio are extremely supportive and want you to achieve to the best of your ability, I feel like I matter at Estio and I’ve some brilliant people along the way!”

Founded in 1998, Ancar B has grown rapidly into one of the major suppliers of IT Managed Services throughout the Yorkshire region and the UK. With a large team of accredited IT professionals who have been specially trained in customer service, Ancar B offer a unique approach to IT Management.

Many employees at Ancar B are ex Apprentices, they’ve been through the Apprenticeship scheme before and very much support it. Luis’s manager, Lee Matthewman is an ex Apprentice himself, stories like this just help to validate Apprenticeships as a successful way to get onto the working ladder.

Well done Luis, keep up the great work!
