Brief Job Description:
Working as part of the UK IT team this role supports our four Business Units within the UK, focused on the Manchester locations (Wythenshawe and Swinton).
This role is critical to the successful operations of the business, ensuring the business remains operational.
Supporting our Service Desk and escalation teams, this role provides desk side IT support resolving technical incidents. The role also provides the day to day IT administration to ensure the smooth delivery of IT operations.
Working alongside all Business Units aligned to the IT Shared Service Centre, ensuring the best possible user experience of IT.
This role actively supports the continual improvement programmes as we look to improve current services or deliver new IT projects to the region.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
Support our managed service providers to ensure we deliver an outstanding experience to our end users.
Ensure that the Joiner, Mover, Leaver process is followed so that all personnel changes are fully managed. Ensuring that new joiners have the right equipment on their first day.
Provide effective management of the mobile phone and desk telephone estate.
Provide support for configuration & implementation of applications ensuring systems run reliably.
Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the Service Integrator and infrastructure service providers.
Delivers new services to users, including new starters and revocation of services to leavers.
Ensure periodic data backups, disaster recovery plans, procedures and equipment are available and tested to meet business needs for service continuity.
Establish, develop and maintain a good working relationship with the all service partners. Ensure quality and consistency of service and adherence to agreed service levels
Within the remit of the Shared Service Centre, is available for out of hours cover to enable continuity of key business services outside of UK office hours.
Manages own time to ensure that priority issues are dealt with, alongside day to day activities.
Ensure SLA’s are met, and that incidents and requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
Support project delivery, working with defined timescales and clear stakeholder management.
The ability to work alongside all levels of management.
Understanding of technical workings within a desktop environment, Telephony (fixed & mobile) and networks.
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Strong communication skills to non-IT staff
Motivation to proactively identify and implement service improvement actions.

Training to be provided:
The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Skills Development Coach who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:
- Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
- PC Fundamentals
- Business Processes & Customer Services
- Networking & Architecture
- Mobile & Operating Systems
- Cloud Services
- Coding & Logic
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
